..... and it burns, burns, burns ......

At the last several weddings we have had the privilege of photographing, we have pushed ourselves to make beautiful ring shots. It's not always easy because these are usually "quick-and-dirty" with available light and whatever we find at the wedding, but it is a fun challenge when there is a lull in the action.

I've been following your blog for a while now, for no other reason than we have the same name. I wanted nickadams.com. I've been so impressed with your work that I can only hope to one day have a chance of challenging you to a photo contest to win the site...

for now, I'm content just sitting back, enjoying your show, and hopefully learning something along the way.

just a bit of random praise,
Nick Adams

P.S. the security question "do horses have feathers?" is a little inappropriate for a photo site. If you look at the photographic meaning of "feathers" of course they could have them.

Hey Nick,

Thanks for the nice compliment. I like your insect photos. Regarding the domain, you're going to have to line up behind at least 3 other Nick Adams who are photographers, plus a comedian, a young stage actor, a gay rights advocate and a kid in Australia. I was lucky to get it when I did! Who knew there were so many of us?

Someone else suggested to me that horses could have feathers. I have to confess, I just don't get it. What exactly is the photographic meaning of "feathers?" Absolutes are hard to find (Is the earth round? well, not really..... Does 2+2=4? Usually, but....), so I guess until someone suggests a better question to fight the spambots, I'm sticking with horsefeathers. :-)

Nick
