WPPI Awards (2008 8x10 competitions)

This image of Brianna and Dan received a 3rd place award in the WPPI 8x10 print competition (first half). Any time an image places in the top three it's a pretty big deal for us -- the competition is so tough.

It is worth noting that this is a print competition, not an image competition. The image (subject, composition, lighting, exposure, etc.) is definitely important, but so is the print quality (highlights/shadows, contrast, color, etc.). It's one of the things that makes this competition so tough.

In addition to the Third Place, almost all of our images that we entered scored over 80, which earns an "Accolade of Excellence". I've worked hard to get my prints to that level -- believe me, it's not easy. These are the recognized prints:
