100 Techniques for Professional Wedding Photographers

100 Techniques for Professional Wedding Photographers

Over a year ago I was asked to submit images for an upcoming book on wedding photography. I sent some in, emailed back and forth with the author about some of the lighting details, and then sort of forgot about it. This week, as we were preparing for out annual pilgrimage to WPPI (our professional photography convention), I received a package in the mail with this cool new book: 100 Techniques for Professional Wedding Photographers by Bill Hurter. Sweet! It's a real honor to have my images and techniques displayed in a book with some of the top wedding professionals in the world.

Here are a few other images that are talked about in the book; I won't list them all here, you'll have to buy the book :-)

Congrats on the book! We

Congrats on the book! We picked up a copy and have really enjoyed the perspectives you shared. You're work is "art", and you two make a great team!

Quotes

"What moves me about...what's called technique...is that it comes from some mysterious deep place. I mean it can have something to do with the paper and the developer and all that stuff, but it comes mostly from some very deep choices somebody has made that take a long time and keep haunting them." -- Diane Arbus
